Terms and conditions
1. Background
By joining Learning Pro or using our services, you accept and agree to all our ‘Terms and Conditions (T&Cs)’ as a learner, exam taker and associate. You must carefully read our T&Cs before enrolling in any course, booking any exam, or using any service we offer. If our T&Cs are unclear or you disagree with them, please contact our admin desk by email. You are advised to keep a copy of the T&Cs for future reference. The document is regularly updated. Please contact the Administrative Unit to check if you have the current version of the document.
The key terms and conditions are listed below:
2. Admission for a course and attendance
2.1 Learning Pro is an approved training provider for AAT Accounting and Bookkeeping courses and a registered tuition provider for CIMA courses. We also offer Sage, QuickBooks and Xero Accounting and Payroll software courses. We offer these courses on various methods, such as classroom, live lessons from home, and self-paced distance learning methods. The classroom and live lessons from home are the same, except that you don’t travel to our centre if you join the live lessons from home.
2.2 You inquire about the course before joining or purchasing the desired course on our website. Please be aware that unless you have completed the equivalent course before, the standard entry-level AAT course is Level Two Accounting or Bookkeeping. For CIMA, the Certificate level is the entry route. Please contact us if you need help determining which level of AAT and CIMA you should join or purchase on our website.
2.3 You can access information about the courses and services we offer by contacting the admission department by phone, sending emails, or filling out the inquiry form on our website. You can also find such information through various publications such as the prospectus and leaflets and by visiting our or our partners’ websites, including social media platforms.
2.4 By visiting our or our partner’s websites, you agree to our website and our partners’ websites, including the social media platform’s Terms and Conditions and Privacy and Cookies Policy. Your privacy is crucial to us, and all the personal information you provide directly to us is safely handled according to our privacy and cookies policy. Please refer to this policy separately by clicking here.
2.5 You abide by our admission policy and procedure, which is a separate document available from the admission/administration department.
2.6 When you join us, you will provide us with your complete personal, academic, employment, and address details, along with documentary evidence such as a valid Passport/Driving Licence, Visa (if applicable), educational certificates, and address proof. We also reserve the right to request any other documentary evidence deemed required.
2.7 You must complete the Application Form (Online or paper-based, whichever is appropriate) and provide us with all the information asked.
2.8 A further attendance and support policy for classroom and live lesson-from-home options will apply. You will receive it once you are enrolled in a course or courses.
3. Exam Booking
3.1 Learning Pro is a Computer-Based Exam/Assessment (CBE/A) centre for AAT, ACCA, ICAEW under Surpass, CIMA under Pearson Vue Testing Centre (PVTC) and CII under PSI.
3.2 All AAT assessments and the first four ACCA exams are booked on the Exams page on our website. This is a comprehensive page, where you will find all the information, such as FAQs, fees and a booking form for your exam. All other exams, such as CIMA and ICAEW, are booked on the Pearson Vue website, and CII exams are booked on the PSI website. Please visit and contact them on the relevant websites.
3.3 The exam page has relevant information such as exam paper/s, fees, FAQs, days and times of exams conducted and a booking form. Please read them carefully before booking your exam/s. Further information can be requested by email or contact form.
3.4 Once the exam booking form is completed and the fee is paid, you will receive a provisional booking confirmation, which will be confirmed within 24 working hours (Monday to Friday) from when the booking was made.
3.5 Your exam will be conducted in the slot you selected. However, considering the nature of the administration and other circumstances, such as computer and internet failure and other environmental issues beyond our control, it may be rescheduled to your next availability. We will contact you to check your next availability, and your booking slot may be changed accordingly. In addition, even though the booking system allows you to reserve a slot (e.g. at 15:00 hours), we cannot guarantee your slot considering the circumstances mentioned above. We may need to change your exam to the next available slot.
3.6 Exam can only be conducted if the information provided, such as name, date of birth, and membership number, is correct. In addition, you must be registered with the relevant awarding organisation (AAT and ACCA) and the course/unit for which you booked your exam/s.
3.7 The exam fee can only be paid on our website by completing the booking form. It is non-refundable and non-transferable under any condition. If you are unsure about anything, please contact us before making a booking.
3.8 A confirmed/approved exam booking can only be rescheduled once, free of charge. You can request this by emailing us with the new date and time of the planned exam. This will be confirmed subject to availability. The new date and time must be within four weeks of the original date. Any further change will incur an additional admin fee of £25/—per subsequent change. The first change is free of charge, considering the 48-hour window is followed (as mentioned below).
3.9 Exam date changes or rescheduling MUST be notified by email at least 48 business and working hours before the exam time – Monday through Friday only. For example, changes or rescheduling for Saturday exams must be notified by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, and for Monday exams, by 5 p.m. on Thursday. Please be aware of bank holidays, such as Mondays and Fridays, as they are not working hours.
3.10 A No-Show or failure to turn up on the exam date, and without notifying the change or rescheduling 48 hours before the exam time, will require a fresh new booking with a complete exam fee.
3.11 Candidates are advised to report to the admin desk at the exam centre at least 15 minutes before the exam/assessment time, along with original proof of 2 IDs—1 photo ID (Passport or Driving Licence) and one signature ID (a bank card with a signature on it). Failure to do this may result in an exam not being conducted.
3.12 Learning Pro endeavours to offer all its candidates a smooth and stress-free exam/assessment environment. Please help us fulfil this by following the Terms and Conditions above. However, due to its nature and involvement in the IT system, the exam/assessment may be postponed. The centre will inform you as early as possible and offer options to take your test on another agreed date and time.
3.13 If your exam has extra time under “Reasonable Adjustment and Special Consideration” for AAT and ACCA papers, you must book your exam for the earliest slot available, such as 10:00. Unfortunately, we can’t conduct your exam at any other slot than 10:00. It’s due to our operational circumstances. Therefore, please exercise caution when booking your exam under such circumstances. If your booking is for any other slot than 10:00, we will change it accordingly.
3.14 Late arrivals – we conduct exams for various exam bodies and exam service providers such as AAT, ACCA, Pearson Vue, PSI and Surpass. As mentioned above, the late arrival policy will apply to all the exams and assessments we conduct, whether booked on our website or our partner’s site. There are various exam/assessment attendance rules, such as being at the exam centre 30 or 15 minutes before your exam time, set by different bodies. Late arrivals will only be accepted at Learning Pro’s discretion.
